New to each Saturday between 8 pm and 2am is the Saturday social.Stretch is our vinyl dj, we found him in the mailbox at a canalside bar playing a real mixture of music. Almost stupidly extreme.In one late afternoon/early evening session we heard;old seventies funk,sixties r'n'b,classic hip-hop,classical,folk,rock,northern soul and the quirkiest collection of covers.The common denominator always being that each vinyl gave us something to talk about and each choice seemed to be strangely cool in its own unique way,not only that he seems to use his loaf with the volume,the last thing you want after a hard week at work is to have to raise your voice to hold a conversation. Our dj tells us he never ever knows what direction his selections will go until people walk through the door. He always says that adaptability is the key. Working at the biggest vinyl record store in the country must help too.
